FlipVideo Now On Amazon UK

Great news!  The little FlipVideo Camera FlipVideo Now On Amazon UK that I use all the time, to make videos as wide ranging as the Haunted Hazlewood Castle to the new Rent2Own Cottage and the Rent2Own 1 bedroom Flat, is now here in the UK via Amazon.

The FlipVideo Camera FlipVideo Now On Amazon UK is the best thing for video blogging on the fly, as it’s idiot proof - well almost!  Here is a great shot of the inside of my handbag at Beach Dreams recently which resulted in the batteries running down very quickly and me nearly missing Nelson doing his “Dad Dancing” impression recently!

Internet Marketing Defined

When reading Tamkin’s email about the Definition of Marketing, I felt there was something missing….so I added to it!

Hermione WatanabeYou see the same gorgeous girl at a party. You go up to her and chat for a while, listen, empathise, pick up on her biggest challenges (she is single, ready to settle down, and would like to meet someone with passion, purpose and a bit of substance instead of the total neurotic, skint losers she usually seems to attract).  Without giving too much away, you gently yet mysteriously and intriguingly indicate that you may be able to help.  You get her card or number, with permission to contact her again.

By the time she get’s home, you have left a little message to thank her for spending time with you, and giving her a quick tip, hint or resource that may amuse or help her.  Two days later, you contact her again, with another suggestion and an invitiation for coffee  You take flowers - a big designer bunch of them - and it goes well, so in another couple of days you contact her again, with a dinner invite.  You make it very easy for her to accept, you give her all the details, you pick her up, with more designer flowers and perhaps a CD of her favourite band, and during the meal you let her know that she is liked, respected and will be safe with you.  You have a great time!  You kiss her on the cheek at the end of the evening when you drop her off.

hazlewoodcastleyorkshire.jpgA couple of days later, you contact her again with another date invitation, ……….and so it goes on varying the venue, the time of day and the entertainment, until, about about the 10th date, you invite her away for the weekend to an AMAZING castle in the country.

Again you make it easy to accept by telling her upfront that you will book a suite, with two bedrooms, and will pick her up.  You also tell her what to bring, clotheswise, so she’s ready for country walks, cosy nights in the local pub and a swanky candlelit dinner in the castle restuarant.  You NEVER at any time mention underwear - although you have popped along to Agent Provocateur and bought something very glamourous and wonderful in the right size (taking advice from the female assistant!!).

You never, at any time on that weekend, say: “I am very rich. Marry me !”

You don’t need to, because by now, she loves you and and wants you, regardless of your status and will say “Yes!” to anything (you still ask her to marry you first!!)

That’s permission based, relationship orientated, “long tail” based internet marketing!

Viddler Done Good!

.viddlerlogo Viddler Done Good!Just in case you miss it in the comments, here’s a lovely personal email from Donna DeMarco @ Viddler.  As a fledging video maker whose partners regularly take the mickey out of the shaky panning, questionable taste in music (I like it!) and painfully slow action, not to mention how rough I look sometimes, the words in bold (the bold added by me so you can’t miss it) made my day!

I am determined to press on with video as a marketing tool, so I am cheered.  The wordpress plug in Donna refers to, means you can comment on my blog postings with your own video recorded on the fly with your in-lappie camcorder - HOW COOL IS THAT?  C’mon, I dare you!  Get the lippie on and go for it.

Good Day, I’ve just finished a breakfast here in the states - humble pie. My sincere apologies for suspending your account. We’ve been inundated lately with “cash gifting” ponzi schemes and “buy this now” videos. Not the type of content that represents the viddler community. The community can flag videos for various offenses, including spam & copyright. We manually delete the content on our backend based on the flags, title, tags, usernames, etc. We got over zealous when we saw “become a millionaire” in the title of a flagged video and suspended your account. Your videos are informative, well produced and interesting - You even have our wordpress plugin! I could try to blame it on the ghosts at Hazlewood Castle, but it is our mistake. And as a result, we are reviewing our process and will look into sending an email when an account is suspended. We’ve also instituted a “trusted user” status - of which you are now one. Thanks for using viddler!

Viddler Account Back Up!

I know it’s April 1st but still…… my Viddler account is working fine now!  No explanation, no emails, but thank god for that as I was only thinking this morning how much nicer it is to use than YouTube.  Perhaps they were the victim of an April Fool’s Joke eh?

Viddler Suspends My Account!

Well, this Hazlewood Castle story gets even more intriguing!  Viddler appear to have suspended my account without warning of any kind!  I cannot believe that anyone - particularly Hazlewood Castle - can have objected to my content, and the only other video I had up there apart from my usual kind, was the one with the interview with Mr X about Runescape and that was very inoffensive.  I am very fed up as I have been happily embedding the Viddler videos in my blog and they are now showing as video not available.  I’ve spent a lot of time on this and to do this without even an email letting me know why, is really bad in my opinion.  I’m waiting to hear from Viddler now.

Nicola’s Week: Wealth Coach Diaries

Moodling, Canoodling & Just Saying Yes!

My daughter’s school has sent home information about their new online elearning environment called Moodle, accessible from any connected computer apparently. I first heard about Moodle via Chris Barrow as he played with the idea of using it to run the elearning / content management system for his dentist clients. I downloaded it and had a look at it for our Money Gym clients, prior to our membership site, but it was one of of those Open source programmes, a bit like Joomla and AMember and even really Wordpress, which unless you ARE ACTUALLY a rocket scientist, you have no hope of installing and then successfully working with yourself.

I have had a look around, in her account, although the bare bones are there and the initiative is brilliant, there does not seem to be any actual content yet. Phoebe hasn’t seen it yet but I’m sure she will be delighted to cut into her MSN and texting time, to do her homework online, which I now will actually know about! NOT.

.hazlewoodcastle Nicolas Week: Wealth Coach DiariesBusy few weeks for speaking engagements as I’m off to Yorkshire this weekend, to stay at Hazlewood Castle on Sunday night, ready to speak to the Yorkshire branch of The Institute of Directors breakfast meeting on Monday. It’s a 4.5 hour trip each way, so the laptop batteries will be fully charged up, and hopefully the train to York from Kings Cross will have a power source! It had better had!
